It's Sunday evening.
7pm.
I've just driven back from Sunderland.
Another karate competition with my girls.
Long day.
No medals.
I need to ride my bike.
I've trained every Sunday for 12 weeks straight.
9 times a week for 12 weeks straight in fact.
But today?
No.
I'm exhausted.
I've already told my coach I'm skipping it.
Then I got home.
And got on my bike.
And did the session.
Not because I wanted to.
(I really didn't have the motivation)
But because it was harder not to ride.
In my house we have a bike room.
A spare room just for bikes.
One bike is only for me.
It's set up.
Ready to go.
In under 5 mins.
24hrs a day.
I didn't ride because of motivation.
I rode because of how little effort it took to start.
Behavior = Motivation + Ability + Prompt
It's so hard not to do something when you have no reason not to.

Enough about cycling.
Most stuck businesses I work with aren't missing motivation.
They're missing the bike room.
The thing that's set up and ready to go.
